The admission to the undergraduate Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and surgery (BAMS) which is of 5.5 years including 1 year of rotatory internship is purely based on marks obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTG) of the Govt Of India .
The admission to 3 year post graduate MD/MS (Ayur) courses is based on the marks and rank obtained in All India Ayurvedic Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET).
The college enrolls 63 BAMS students every year and 30 PG scholars divided in 6 post graduate departments.
Admission procedure –
The NEET appeared students will be first requested to submit a Declaration Form which will be available in the official website of the Directorate of AYUSH ,Govt of Assam .The selection of students with the corroborative marks and ranks will be specified at the time of the official notice posted in the website.After proper scrutiny and detailed inspection,a counselling date will be fixed and the selected students will be accordingly invited for the same.
The selection of all students doesn’t invariably ensure their admission as the process depends on ranks and marks ..Generally students scoring above the expected cut off marks are invited .
